Dawna Fung is a bilingual writer from Hong Kong. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in Journalism, but her real education came from listening: to taxi drivers, corner-store aunties, dissident teenagers, anyone with something true to say. She cares about people’s stories - the messy, hopeful, heartbreaking kind, and genuinely believes that even the smallest effort can spark change.
Her journalistic path has been shaped by a commitment to impactful reporting. In her early career, she covered the local news beat extensively - from political controversies to grassroots struggles. She also broke stories on the #MeToo movement in Hong Kong, giving voice to survivors who had long been silenced. In one notable investigation, she exposed corruption within a local sports association, revealing how funds were mismanaged and power abused - a report that led to public attention and internal reforms.
What defines her approach is a love for presenting different perspectives and angles: she digs deeper, stays longer with her subjects, and always seeks the human core beneath the headlines.
Her feature stories were published in Hong Kong Free Press, FairPlanet, Ming Pao, InMediaHK and others, while her commentaries have run in Cha Journal, The Theatre Times, Hong Kong Economic Journal, ACO, and more.
Her hunger for knowledge and truth is bottomless. In her free time, you'll probably find her at a black box theatre, local bar, independent bookstore - or maybe judging a debate competition (she's that kind of curious). Her poetry and prose have also found homes in Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine, Fleurs de Lettres, P-articles, Canto Cutie and a few other lovely places.

馮曉彤是一位雙語作者，在香港土生土長，畢業於香港大學新聞系，但真正的教育來自聆聽——的士司機、餐廳老闆娘、異見青少年，任何有話想說的人。她在乎人的處境，並相信即使最微小的嘗試，也能帶來改變。
她的報導生涯，由港聞開始。她曾跟進香港的#MeToo運動，讓一直沉默的受害者說出自己的故事，也曾揭發體育協會的貪腐問題，包括財政混亂及權力濫用等，引起廣泛關注，迫使協會內部檢討。
她希望自己帶著溫柔去採訪——因為每一個人，無論身份或立場，都是有血有肉的生命，有說不出口的痛苦，有無法被標題概括的複雜。她相信，記者可以觸碰這些地方，而那是一種難得的特權。
