Witnesses to war: the Hong Kong journalists on the frontlines in Ukraine
Kaoru Ng was among the first to go. When a massive Russian military presence was spotted along the Ukraine border and rumours of invasion intensified in February last year, he decided to take off for Kyiv and see for himself what was happening.
The bleak prophesies came true, and Kaoru became a war correspondent. “My plan was to stay in Kyiv for a month, but I ended up staying in Ukraine for nine months.”

‘Treat us fairly’: Meet the domestic worker YouTuber raising awareness of helper rights
During Hong Kong’s worst Covid outbreak, some workers were thrown out of their employers’ homes when they became infected. “She had already gone to hospital and took medicine, but you still decided to fire her. Where’s your conscience?” Contrinx asked the bosses concerned.
Wiping away tears, she told HKFP: “I feel sad… why don’t you [employers] treat us fairly?”

In Pictures: ‘Our Models’ exhibition promotes body autonomy in conservative Hong Kong
A smallish frail man sits still in the middle of a Hong Kong studio, surrounded by several artists whose brushes sweep busily over canvas. Albert is not your typical artists’ model. His spine is S-shaped, the lengths of his hands and feet are disproportionate, and there is a prominent lump on his top right shoulder. A long steel rod was inserted in his back after he suffered meningitis as an infant.

... As a Christian, he believes in hope even if there is not a shred of evidence that shows freedom can prevail in Hong Kong.
Chow is confident that Hong Kongers can walk out of this political predicament together, step by step. "Many people have been asking, where is the exit? Where is the way out? The only way out is our struggle and resistance."

他是文顯桓(Henry),也是這個作品《A Dance To My Younger Self》的編舞。

In 2025, Dawna Fung collaborated with Samson Tong, the founder of Echo Asia Communications, to co-launch “Repairers of the World: An NGO Interview Series”.
The philosophy behind the initiative was clear: even in the wealthiest cities, government welfare cannot reach every corner, leaving inevitable holes in the social fabric. NGOs are the ones finding those gaps and patching them up.
Her team focused on simple, human-centric storytelling that allowed people doing extraordinary work to be properly seen and heard.

Kingman
